What is the role of the interface on the TV?

This article describes the characteristics of the interface.

HDMI interface:

The HDMI interface can be said to be an indispensable interface in the high-definition digital era. It can not only meet the resolution of full HD 1080p, but also support digital audio formats such as DVDAudio. HDMI devices are plug-and-play and can transmit up to 15 meters at a distance, which is convenient and powerful.

USB interface:

Although many flat-screen TVs are equipped with USB ports, the functions that can be achieved after connecting storage devices are not the same. Some TVs only support the playback of pictures, while others can play high-definition video and music files.

VGA interface:

VGA (VideoGraphicsArray) is an interface for transmitting analog signals to display devices. I believe that everyone is more exposed to the computer monitor. The VGA interface has been used since the era of CRT monitors, and it has been used to this day.

Optical fiber audio interface:

Optical audio interface TosLink, full name ToshibaLink, this is a technical standard developed and set by Japan Toshiba (TOSHIBA) company earlier, with Optical as a logo on the back panel of audio-visual equipment. The optical audio interface has an absolutely optimized function not only for images but also for audio.

LAN network interface:

With the continuous deepening of the Internet, our daily life has become closely related to the Internet. The lack of the Internet seems to be a bit out of touch with the world. Therefore, most flat-screen TVs are equipped with a LAN network interface at the moment. RJ-45 is common on TVs. Interface, commonly known as "crystal head".

Displayport interface:

DisplayPort is an interface specification approved by the Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA). DisplayPort does not require copyright fees and aims to leapfrog DVI and HDMI interface technologies in several areas. DisplayPort uses the electrical layer of PCIExpress, which currently operates at 2.5Gbps, to obtain a total of up to 10.8Gbps of bandwidth for four channels. DisplayPort will add support for the transmission of high-definition audio signals while transmitting video signals, while supporting higher resolutions and refresh rates.

AV interface:

The earliest implementation of audio and video separation, AV interface is considered a relatively early interface, it is composed of red, white, and yellow color lines, where the yellow line is the video transmission line, red and white are responsible for the sound transmission of the left and right channels .

S terminal interface:

Separation of chrominance and brightness. The full name of the S terminal is SeparateVideo. The S-Video connection specification is a specification developed by the Japanese. S refers to "SEPARATE (separation)", which separates the brightness and chrominance and avoids mixing. When the video signal is output, the brightness and chroma interfere with each other. The S terminal is actually a five-core interface, consisting of five core wires consisting of two video luminance signals, two video chrominance signals, and a common shielded ground wire.

Differential component interface:

The color difference component interface uses YPbPr and YCbCr. The former indicates progressive scan color difference output, and the latter indicates interlaced scan color difference output. Simply put, compared to the AV and S terminals, the color difference is input by dividing the signal into three primary colors of red, green, and blue.
