1. Describe

The 74LVC4245APW,118 is an octal dual-supply translation transceiver with tri-state bus compatible outputs in both transmit and receive directions. It is designed to interface 3 V and 5 V buses in mixed 3 V and 5 V power supply environments. The device has an output enable input (OE) and a transmit/receive input (DIR) for direction control. A high level on OE causes the output to assume High-impedance off state, effectively isolates the bus. In suspend mode, when either supply is zero, there is no current path between the supplies. VCCA ≥ VCCB, except suspend mode. Schmitt trigger action on all inputs allows the circuit to tolerate slower input rise and fall times.
