1. Describe

The TI CC256x device is a complete Bluetooth BR/EDR/LE HCI solution that reduces design effort and speeds time to market. CC256x devices based on TI's seventh-  generation Bluetooth core Offers product-proven solutions that are Bluetooth 4.1 compliant. When combined with a microcontroller unit (MCU), this HCI device delivers best-in-class RF performance with approximately 2x the range of other pure Bluetooth LE solutions. In addition, TI's power management hardware and software Algorithms significantly reduce power consumption in all common Bluetooth BR/EDR/LE modes. TI's dual-mode Bluetooth stack software is certified for free integration with TI's MSP430 and ARM Cortex-M3 and Cortex-M4 MCUs. Other MPUs are supported by TI's third parties. Additional software packages support the iPod® (MFi) protocol.
