1. Describe

Skyworks' family of ultra-low power digital isolators are CMOS devices that offer significant data rate, propagation delay, power, size, reliability and external BOM advantages over traditional isolation technologies. The operating parameters of these products are stable over a wide temperature range and throughout the life of the device, resulting in ease of design and highly uniform performance. All device versions feature Schmitt Trigger inputs for high noise immunity and require only VDD bypass capacitors. Data rates up to 150 Mbps are supported with propagation delays of less than 10 ns on all devices. Ordering options include a choice of isolation ratings (2.5, 3.75 and 5 kV) and a selectable fail-safe operating mode to control the default output state during power outages. All products are UL, CSA, VDE and CQC safety certified, and the wide body package supports reinforced insulation up to 5 kVRMS. Automotive grade is available for some part numbers. These products are manufactured using automotive-specific processes at all steps of the manufacturing process to ensure the robustness and low defect rates required for automotive applications.
