1. Describe

Bourns provides transient voltage suppression diodes for surge and ESD protection applications in a compact chip package DO-214AB (SMC) size format. The transient voltage suppressor series provides a choice of operating peak reverse voltages from 5 V to 495 V and breakdown voltages up to 550 V. The typical fast response time of a unidirectional device is less than 1.0 picoseconds, and the typical fast response time of a two-way device is less than 5.0 picoseconds, from 0 V as the minimum breakdown voltage. Bourns® chip diodes comply with JEDEC standards and are easy to handle with standard pick and place equipment, and their flat configuration minimizes rolling.
