1. Describe

The SN74HC595DT device contains an 8-bit, serial input, Provides 8-bit D-type parallel output shift register storage register. The storage registers have parallel 3-Status output. Provide separate clocks for both shift and store registers. The shift register has Direct Override Clear (SRCLR) Input, Serial (SER) The input and serial output are cascaded. when. . . when The output enable (OE) input is high and the output is at high impedance state.

6. Function description

The SN74HC595DT devices are 8-bit serial-in, parallel-out shift registers. They feature a wide operating current of 2 V to 6 V, and the high-current tri-state output can drive up to 15 LSTTL loads. These devices feature a low power consumption of 80µA (max) ICC. Additionally, these devices feature a low 1 μA (max) input current and ±6 mA output drive at 5 V

The SN74HC595DT is a low drive CMOS device that can be used in many bus interface type applications where output ringing is a concern. Low drive and slow edge rates will minimize overshoot and undershoot on the output.
