This article describes the characteristics of the interfaces.
1. USB interface
USB is the abbreviation of "UniversalSerialBus" in English, meaning "Universal Serial Bus" in Chinese. Among the devices using the USB interface, keyboards and mice are the most common. In addition, scanners, printers, ModemUSBHub, floppy drives, CD-ROMs, CDRWs, mobile hard drives, even sound cards, speakers, mobile phone chargers, handwriting electronic boards, and networks The cards also appear accordingly. The vast majority of notebooks on the market use the USB2.0 interface. Compared with the traditional USB1.1 interface, the data transmission speed has increased to 480Mbps, which is about 40 times the USB1.1 transmission speed.
2. IEEE1394 interface
IEEE1394 is a serial standard developed by Apple, also known as Firewire interface, the Chinese translation is called Firewire interface. It is generally called FireWire, which supports hot swapping of peripherals, can provide power for peripherals, saves the power supply of peripherals, can connect multiple different devices, and supports synchronous data transmission. In addition, it is divided into two transmission methods: Backplane mode and Cable mode. The minimum rate of Backplane mode is also higher than the highest rate of USB1.1, which is 12.5Mbps/s, 25Mbps/s, 50Mbps/s, which can be used for most high-bandwidth applications. Cable mode is a very fast mode, which is divided into 100Mbps/s, 200Mbps/s and 400Mbps/s. At 200Mbps/s, steamed to transmit high-quality uncompressed data movies. At present, some high-end consumer notebook computers have such interfaces.
3. VGA interface
The VGA interface is mainly used to connect an external display and a projector. Most books now support dual-screen display. For business people and teachers who often need to make large-screen presentations, this interface is an essential standard interface. When performing screen conversion, it is necessary to use the “Fn+FX” on the keyboard for different laptops to have different settings for digital conversion. VGA is also a type of video output interface. Like the TV-OUT interface, it is mainly used to output notebook signals to a TV for playback. The VGA interface is the type of interface currently available in some laptop computers, but this requires the VGA interface on the TV to be realized.
4. S-Video output terminal
The appearance looks like a keyboard and mouse interface. In fact, this port is to send the display content of the book to the TV. You can connect the book to the TV by purchasing a dedicated AV terminal connection, and then make one in the graphics card. The necessary settings can be used. However, the AV output terminal does not support hot swapping, so pay attention when using it.
5, TV-OUT interface
Through this interface, you can output the video signal of the notebook computer to the TV to play, thereby expanding the image output area. Because the average laptop screen is only 15 inches large, when watching movies or playing games, a larger screen can give people a stronger visual enjoyment, but a larger screen is not only expensive, but also portable Inconvenient, so outputting the display to the TV becomes a good choice.
6, Modem (RJ-11)
Telephone line interface. The telephone line interface is also called RJ-11 interface, which is mainly a modem interface. The user only needs to connect the telephone line to this interface of the laptop computer, and then dial-up Internet access can be achieved. Of course, only laptops with built-in modems have this interface. At present, most laptops provide this interface. If not, users can also buy an external modem. Most of them use PCs. The card interface standard is used to interface with the laptop.
