1. Describe
The ADS1299-4, ADS1299-6PAGR, and ADS1299 devices are four-, six-, and eight-channel, low noise, 24-bit, simultaneous sampling delta-sigma (ΔΣ) family of digital converters (ADCs) programmable gain amplifiers (PGAs), internal Reference and onboard oscillator. The ADS1299-x includes all common functional extracranial electroencephalography (EEG) and electrocardiography (ECG) applications. With its high level of integration and superior performance, the ADS1299-x enables the creation of scalable medical devices that significantly reduce the size, power consumption and overall cost of instrumentation systems. The ADS1299-x features a flexible input multiplexer that allows each channel to be independently connected to test, temperature, and internally generated signal lead detection. Additionally, any configuration input channel can be selected to derive the patient bias output signal. An optional SRB pin can be used to route common signals to multiple inputs for reference montage configuration. The ADS1299-x is 250 SPS to 16kSPS. Lead off detection or source can be done inside the device using excitation current sinks. Multiple ADS1299-4, ADS1299-6, or ADS1299 devices can be cascaded in a high-channel-count system in a daisy-chain configuration. The ADS1299-x is available in a TQFP-64 package and is specified over the temperature range of –40°C to +85°C.
