The portable communications, computing, and video equipment markets are challenging the semiconductor industry to develop smaller and smaller electronic components. Bourns offers TVS diodes for voltage reference applications in a compact chip package 0603 or 1005 size format, which saves PCB space and is much smaller than most competing components. The operating peak voltage range of TVS diodes is between 5.0 V and 24 V. The device is designed to meet IEC 61000-4-5 (surge) protection requirements. Bourns® chip diodes comply with JEDEC standards and are easy to operate on standard pick and place equipment, and their planar configuration minimizes rolling.
