1. Describe
The LP87524JRNFTQ1 is designed to meet the power management requirements of the latest processors and platforms in a variety of automotive power applications. The device contains four step-down DCDC converter cores configured as four single-phase outputs. The device is controlled by an I2C compatible serial interface and enable signals. Automatic PFM/PWM (AUTO mode) operation maximizes efficiency over a wide output current range. The LP87524B/J/P-Q1 supports remote voltage sensing to compensate for the IR drop between the regulator output and the point-of-load (POL) to improve output voltage accuracy. Additionally, the switching clock can be forced into PWM mode or synchronized with an external clock to minimize glitches. The LP87524B/J/P-Q1 devices support load current measurement without adding an external current sense resistor. In addition, the LP87524B/J/P-Q1 supports programmable turn-on and turn-off delays and sequences synchronized with the enable signal. These sequences can also include GPIO signals to control external voltage regulators, load switches, and processor reset. During startup and voltage changes, the device controls the output slew rate to minimize output voltage overshoot and inrush current.
