1. Describe

The MC33771BSP1AER2 is a SMARTMOS Li-Ion battery controller IC designed for automotive applications such as hybrid electric (HEV) and electric vehicles (EV) as well as industrial applications such as energy storage systems (ESS) and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS). The device performs ADC conversion of differential battery voltage and current, as well as battery coulomb counting and battery temperature measurement. The information is transferred digitally to the microcontroller for processing via serial peripheral interface (SPI) or transformer isolation (TPL).
