1. Describe
The MCP23017-E/SS/MCP23S17 (MCP23X17) device family provides 16-bit general purpose parallel I/O expansion for I2C bus or SPI applications. The MCP23017-E/SS contains multiple 8-bit configurations Registers for input, output and polarity selection. this The system host can enable I/O as input or Output by writing to the I/O Configuration bit (IODIRA/B). Every input or output data is stored in the corresponding input or output register. polarity Input port registers can reverse polarity Invert the register. All registers can be read system master.
